On May 10th, 2023, Correctional Officer Association of Delaware welcomed 2023 Scholarship Recipients to the Union Hall for a dinner to celebrate their accomplishments.

Congratulations to all the sons and daughters of the COAD membership who received a 2023 George D. McClure, III Memorial College Scholarship. You are truly an exceptional group of young men and women who despite having spent part of your high school careers learning through an unprecedented pandemic, demonstrated outstanding academic achievement combined with a strong sense of community service and family duty.

The COAD executive board voted on renaming the scholarship and honoring the memory of COAD’s longest serving Executive Board Secretary, George D. McClure, III.

It’s always an exceptional event and after a 3 year hiatus, it was great to be back live making the presentations. Congrats once again to the scholarship winners.
